What We Believe

What We Believe

We believe that God must be worshipped in Spirit and in Truth. We embrace freedom in worship because the Word says, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty”.

Our foundation is the Word of God and we believe the Word in its entirety.

We believe we can do what it says we can do, be who it says we can be and have what it says we can have.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Greater Body of Christ Temple believes in the manifest truths revealed in the Word of God. The bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe. We do believe, however, that our foregoing Statement of Faith accurately represents the teaching of the bible, and therefore, is binding upon all our members. This Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith.

We believe in the TRIUNE GOD: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit: (1 John 5:7) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

We believe that Jesus Christ was supernaturally conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18-20).

We believe that Jesus is the Son of God (Col. 2:9). He suffered, bled, died, and was buried. He rose from the dead for our total salvation (Philippians 2:5-11).

We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him (St. John 3:36).

We believe in the Holy Spirit who is God indwelling, empowering, and regenerating the believer. He is called the Comforter and the Spirit of Truth (St. John 14:17; 14:26).
